Earlier in the week we got together and demoed 7 new tracks, one of which (provisionally called Mechanical) we have been playing live for the last few shows). As of yet we haven’t decided what to do with them, we are just old and sometimes we need to record things before we forget them…
Also we are playing with The Slow Death in a few weeks at the Brixton Windmill

Hey All!
We are excited to announce some big bits of news today. Firstly we want to welcome into the fold a new member, John. Those that saw us play with the Bouncing Souls last year will remember John as our stand in bassist for the tour. We have all been best buds for a long time and we asked him to join as our full time second guitarist a month ago. After playing our first show with him at the weekend, (he survived), he is now an official member. WOOHOO!
Secondly, due to the success over the last 4 months of Making Plans we have been able to get together enough money to press and self release a limited run of Making Plans LP’s.
The Making Plans 12” LP is limited to 250 - 100 Blue with white splatter and 150 Blue.
Housed in a colour outer sleeve with a 5mm spine and protected by a black inner sleeve, the wider spine means the Making Plans Art Book sits nicely inside.
The LP is due for delivery to us at the end of the first week of January so is due to ship around 10th January, though hopefully it will be a little earlier.
If you want a splatter variation I’d act quick as we only have 60 splatters available online - the rest are going to distros and record shops. Banquet Records have their own allocation of the LP’s and they are available here - http://www.banquetrecords.com/PMP
Once on general release the LP will be packaged with the Art Book as standard. But to accommodate those that already bought the art book we have the option on our bandcamp to buy it without the art book at a cheaper rate. This option is only for pre-orders.
You can find them for sale over here - http://wearepacer.bandcamp.com/album/making-plans
Along with some 3d renders from Dave of how it should look once pressed.

Anyway hope you all have a great xmas and we hope to see you at our next couple of shows.
Due to selling our van this month we are having a big clear out of all the random bits of merch we have had stashed for the past few years. All orders come with a few little extras like badges, totes bags and whatever we have hidden away in the deepest recesses of the Merch Bag. Shirts are £5 and are all in limited stock so have a rummage.
Also added are the physical copies of the second pressing of our 7” split with Iron Chic that we have left in transparent yellow, pressed by All in vinyl.
I’ve added everything we have over at our bandcamp page and will add any more as we find extra things

First up thanks to everyone that came out to our little weekend of shows. It’s hard to believe but since we added Mike our new bassist and recorded Making Plans about 6 months ago this is the first time we as a band have stay out after a show, with most of our shows recently being either one offs or close enough back to our house to head home after. We generally passed the time in the van by playing the INTENSE MOVIE GAME, a perfect thing to ward off (or increase depending on your perspective) van madness. We also went to a secret underground nuclear war bunker in Hack Green on the way up North, I recommend it.
Thanks very much to The Cut Ups for a great weekend away, Refuse to Lose, STHC and Deadpunk promotions for putting on the shows and treating us so well and Rosie and Clare for giving us a place to crash on Saturday. Much love to Johnfold for coming out with us on the trip.
Now onto the day at hand. A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of recording a session at BBC Maida Vale for the Punk show with Mike Davies. Last week at 3.30am I also recorded an interview to go alongside the session tracks. I stayed up via a combination of watching Game Of Thrones and drinking tea, the resulting interview lasted about 20 minutes so I’m sure what will be broadcast will be choice nuggets that actually made sense.
So after a few weeks of waiting we are excited to say it will be broadcast tonight (Tuesday 9th October) between midnight and 2am (UK)
you can listen to it live (even if you are elsewhere in the world I think) via this link
After the show is aired live it will be available to stream on line via this link
Thanks to Mike Davies for asking us to do a sessions, it was a blast.
We also announce something exciting on the show, more on that later in the week.

Come have a party with us, I think we are gonna try all the songs of Making Plans!

Today we are excited to announce the forth coming release of our debut album, Making Plans. We have been playing some of the songs live now for the last few months (including a few last year at the Bouncing Souls shows) and we are really pleased with it.
It’s 12 tracks, clocking in at around 30 mins. It was written over the last year and was recorded live over two days a few months ago and then self mixed (over and over again) by Dave until we were happy with it.
For this release we wanted to try something a bit different. There are so many amazing platforms to get music out now and we wanted to experiment with the ways that people can get our music and the different ways we could get our songs out.
Personally I’m in love the digital downloads. The immediacy of releasing something via something like bandcamp is amazing, you can record and release something within a day if you chose to! But at the same time a digital download lacks the heart and soul that a physical release can have. There is nothing like getting a new record or cd, cracking it open and flicking through the lyrics book or seeing the cover up close.
So for the release of Making Plans we have decided to self release it as an art book with a digital download hoping to take in the best bits of both mediums, using the economy of sending tracks digitally to funnel more money into the physical aspects of the release.
Here is a break down of how the release will work.
Today we have set up the Making Plans album on our band camp. Pre-orders of the art book will get you the book (mailed out for the release day) aswell as an email from band camp with a link the to mp3 download on 2nd July. Pre-ordering the art book now will also get you a sweet art print, this will be available up until the pre-orders are shipped.
Preorders for the book with a download code are also being taken by the lovely people at Banquet records -
http://www.banquetrecords.com/PMP
On the 2nd July the album will be available as a pay what you want digital download from our band camp, the art book will still be available online but also at our shows (along with a download code).
In the future we may look at a traditional physical release of it
Over the next few weeks in the run up to the release we will be streaming tracks ourselves, as well as posting details of exclusive streams that are available on other sites. To keep track of all the streams and to act as a repository for information regarding the album, details of it being made and it’s release we have made a mini-site:
www.wearemakingplans.com
Kicking of the streams we have Punktastic streaming the song Flags from their site -
http://punktastic.com/news/exclusive-stream-of-new-pacer-song-plus-album-details/
As well as us streaming the song Little Avalons from the wearemakingplans.com site
Sitting on a bus listening to recordings of yourself shouting can be an odd way to start your week but it’s required part of getting our album one step closer to a release so I will grit my teeth and soldier on. This part of the process can be an odd one, listening to your voice over and over can often be akin to water boarding but for once it’s actually quite enjoyable. This is mainly due to the fact that Dave is currently doing an awesome job at mixing it (and is only being driven slightly insane about our debates about how loud the kick drum should be), fingers crossed we should be at a final mix by the end of the week. We have yet to decide on the exact way we are going to release it but we have a few interesting options that we are excited about. After an awesome show with Rivalries and The Menzingers at the weekend we are all stoked to be playing the new tracks alongside the old.
We have two shows coming up this month - Tuesday 15th May at El Paso, Old Street with The Arteries and Slow Science (Facebook Event)and Saturday 26th May at The Miller, London Bridge with Rivalries, It’s Not OK and a load of others as part of Bill and Ted Fest (Facebook Event)(a benefit for terrapins…….yeah I know, we were confused as well).
